National refers to your whole country..the one I am currently in is the United States. Local refers basically to the town you live in…and could be stretched to include your county or almost your state

    National affairs deal in the aspect of “US affairs” much like what the Federal Government deals with. Local affairs are “state affairs” which is what the state government deals with.
