What is the difference between an “old school” date and a “dating” date?

Question by Meme: What is the difference between an “old school” date and a “dating” date?
This guy and I have been having something going on between us for awhile and he lives an hour or so away from me. He thinks a relationship wouldn’t be good because of the distance. My parents were joking around about him taking me out and I told him and he said he might actually do that. He said that it would be an old school date though and not a dating date. What is the difference??? Does it mean he doesn’t want to get serious and just take me out?

dating date: go to eg… dinner discuss eg.. the relationship and life (hardcore relationship interaction)

Old school date: Just taking ur gal out to spend time together and enjoy your selfs ( low fuss spending time together )

This isnt some known “thing” u should know its just what his choice of words were
you could have just asked him (or figuered a way of asking without sounding stupid or not in “the know”

Question by mack: What is the difference between “hanging out” and “Dating”?
I don’t know whether or not im dating this girl, or just hanging out with her. Whats the difference?

Best answer:

Answer by Jeremy A
The difference is purely what the people hanging out or dating think. If they think it is dating, it’s dating. If they think it’s hanging out, it’s hanging out, so long as they both know what the relationship is.
There isn’t a lot more to it, I think. =)

Things should be natural there are no rules and if you are into playing games then dating a 25 year old is not for you. The time and place for games has passed and you are now an adult, so act like it.
